8 Tips for a Easy Breezy Bridal Shower

IMG_4718Every bride deserves to have a bridal shower! It’s a time when the MOH (maid of honor/matron of honor) and bridesmaids shower the future Mrs. There’s nothing like coming together and celebrating with food, games, and pure fun. To have a successful shower a few things need to take place. It’s significant to have your invitations sent out, party favors purchased, and food. Oh, and what’s a party without games? Coordinating a bridal shower is fun yet hard work. Anyone in the bridal party can participate in making sure things run smoothly, and if everyone works together it will be a successful event. To throw a shower without having everyone in panic mode, designate one person to coordinate the event. That person can assign small projects to everyone. Too many people involve can cause confusion, and too little help will leave one person stressed out. Make sure you have the right amount of people helping and consistent communication.

Wedding Invitations: DIY or Your Trusted Stationary Company?

There are thousands of ways to create wedding invitations. Online templates give brides the chance to put their creativity to life. You no longer have to go to the store and purchase bulk invitations. Invitations at the store give you a limited selection to choose from, and it can be costly printing them from your computer. If you have not already downloaded a wedding planner calendar, do so here. Planners will give you a timeline of what and when things need to be done. Schedule to send out wedding invitations 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding date. It’s important to give guest adequate time to turn in their RSVP’s and provide them with accommodationsimg_4527

Pinterest has a lot of DIY (do it yourself) ideas that can be cost effective for your budget. Keep in mind to order or make extra invitations just in case you have to add people to your guest list.

Church members are required to participate in pre-marital counseling prior to saying “I DO” if they want their pastor, priest, or bishop to marry them. Troy and I engaged in marital counseling and I learned a lot about him, and myself. If you are not a member of a church you can sign up for pre-marital counseling with a licensed professional. Some people go through their insurance or employee assistance program for a reference. However, most churches require couples to participate in pre-marital counseling within the church prior to performing the wedding ceremony.

Couples Therapy: Considerations and Benefits

I scheduled group counseling sessions through our church, and with a licensed therapist. Both types are rewarding and I always say the more counseling the better. Marriage is a major step, and it’s important to go through the proper channels to understand what marriage entails. Every therapist and marriage counselor facilitator will have different opinions but it’s good to be open and hear from people with experience.

Tips for Marital Therapy

  • Ask questions no matter how silly you think they sound
  • Get involve with assignments
  • Have fun
